Since the British popduo Wham! released their perennial Christmas hit ‘Last Christmas’, several bands and artists have covered this song as the festive season approaches. This year (to save you from tears), the Canadian popstar Carly Rae Jepsen has released a magical and heartbreaking synth-pop rendition of Wham!’s original release, following the success of her third studio album EMOTION that came out earlier this summer. Accompanied by saxophones, Jepsen gracefully sings a sweet tribute in the style of the 80s synthpop music that inspired her last album, getting us all in the holiday spirit while proving that Christmas music is definitely acceptable in November! – ***
