Imogen Wilson has won the election for Vice President of Academic Affairs (VPAA) for Edinburgh University Students Election (EUSA).
Wilson won in the fourth round of votes with 1157 votes.
Speaking after her victory, Wilson said: “I’m really excited about making the things in my manifesto happen. Thank you so much everyone.”
Wilson campaigned for the position on a wide variety of issues, supporting causes from the establishment of a gender studies department to protecting flexi-contracts for tutors.
She called for the return of the post-study work visa and pledged to support international students.
Wilson also said she would promote teaching outside the classroom, and that she would work to offer university credit for internship, placements, and projects.
