Big news everyone: Krispy Kreme doughnuts are now available on campus.
The delicious treats are being sold in the University of Edinburgh’s Potter Shop, located in Bristo Square. This expansion will allow hungry students to quickly grab a doughnut (or four) between lectures and tutorials.
Students previously had to venture far away from the safety of George Square to get their Krispy Kreme fix, with the nearest doughnut friendly retailers being the Tesco stores on Nicolson Street and South Bridge.
The brand is famous for both its classic and more adventurous flavours: the Nutella, lemon cheesecake and triple chocolate doughnuts are just some of the favourites we hope to see in Potterrow very soon.
The American doughnut chain first landed in Edinburgh in 2013 when it launched one of its famous shops in Hermiston Gait, with hundreds of hungry Scots waiting for its grand opening at 7am with the store serving over four hundred excited customers in its first hour.
