From race and gender to celebrity crushes, the weekly podcast Another Round has become renowned for its originality. Unlike many podcasts, Another Round is unique in the way that hosts Heben Nigatu and Tracy Clayton enjoy a tipple of something throughout each podcast!
The “boozy pair” are characterised by their witty humour and insight into the world of what it is like to be a black American woman. In a recent interview they spoke to schoolgirl Marley Dias who has launched the campaign #1000BlackGirlBooks. As part of the social project to improve the awareness of black women in literature, Marley is in the process of collecting 1000 books with black girls as the main protagonists. These books will then be donated to Retreat Primary and Junior School where her mother grew up.
Heben and Tracy have often been described as the “queens of the one-liners”. This comes as no surprise considering their audacious outbursts, and yet they also have the ability to touch the nation with their empathetic approach to sensitive matters. In other words, there seems to be no limit as to what this duo can do!
