In a world where the majority of teenagers communicate via technology, the new documentary series Teens provides an innovative insight into the impact new technology has in governing the lives of young adults. The documentary follows a group of sixth formers in a school from Loughton, Essex over the period of one year.
The individuals taking part have not only agreed to let the cameras into their lives but have also given permission for their texts, tweets, whatsapp messages and private phone calls to be monitored and shown to the nation. The first episode follows new girl Jess, having recently moved schools. She faces some struggles in voicing her own opinions about the No More Page Three Campaign. Due to its originality, this new and unique series is definitely a must watch, and in my opinion, gives us a surprisingly accurate snapshot of today’s youth.
