It’s time to flick the switch I am no longer at the stage in which I can cope with the plug socket situation in Teviot. I am very tired of having to get there at around 9 am in order to secure a lucrative seat on the mezzanine level.
The feral attitude that seems to consume individuals when a seat becomes available. The way in which you’ve not even packed your bag up and someone is standing next to you, waiting for your seat.
It is just too much for me. I think it’s because the four seaters on the ground floor lack plug sockets.
Now, if you’ve been unlucky in not securing a seat there, there is a second round of luck, 12pm at the library bar. There will be a queue outside the door from about 11:50 with the utmost anticipation to be let in. The positive about the library bar (as well as the committee room) is that there are more plugs and people tend to spend less time there.Giving you an actual chance of getting a plug at about 4 pm.
Will the fight for the plugs ever end? I doubt it.
